Anscare ChitoClot Gauze

Made from chitosan with proven efficacy and safety. Chitosan, the main ingredient of which is obtained from the shells of some sea creatures, is a completely natural carbohydrate. It stops bleeding very quickly in the injured area where it is applied and does not mix into the bloodstream. Even if a small amount enters the bloodstream, it is broken down in the body and then naturally excreted from the body. Due to its mechanism of action, it is safe and effective even in patients taking blood thinners (heparin, coumadin, etc.). It is non-toxic (even edible), does not harbor fungi, bacteria and does not cause allergies. Sterilized and packaged impregnated in non-woven gauze.

It is an alternative product produced by Anscare company in Taiwan as Celox equivalent.

Application Method

Open the package and press the chitosan-impregnated gauze in the bleeding area where the blood comes out. Apply this pressure until the blood stops (it usually takes 3-5 minutes to stop the bleeding). If the bleeding is heavy, you can use a second, larger bleeding stopper pad. Keep it on the wound until medical attention is given. Any residue left in the bleeding area after the intervention can be easily removed with saline.
