SAM Splint is used by emergency medicine specialists all over the world and by NASA on the Space Shuttles in space. It is a product, based on the physics principle "bends are strong". Other splints derive their strength from the material they are made of; metal, wood, etc. Unfortunately, being strong often means being heavy, bulky and unable to meet different needs. SAM Splint consists of a thin layer of aluminum between two layers of foam. When unpacked, it is extremely soft and pliable. When it becomes one of the 3 basic folds, it becomes extraordinarily strong to support the injured, bruised and/or fractured area.

The whole logic is in the inclined plane of physics. The same logic allowed skyscrapers and bridges to be made of beams and hollow columns instead of heavy steel columns. A flat thin metal surface can be bent easily, but it becomes extremely hard when one of the structural bends is applied. There are many such bends. There are only 3 basic bends applied with SAM Splint. With SAM Splints, it is extremely easy to turn a simple splint into a snow shovel or a canoe. At the same time, SAM Splint is extraordinarily malleable and soft enough to be easily cut even with ordinary household scissors. Conclusion: Virtually any bone in the body can be splinted by selecting the appropriate one from the folds outlined in the training booklet. SAM Splint can even be used as a neck collar in an emergency.

The center of SAM Splint consists of a long rectangular and ultra-thin aluminum layer. The outer layers are made of a special dermatologically safe, latex-free foam. SAM Splint is 11 cm wide and 23, 46, 92 cm of lengths and packaged to splint everything from a child's arm to a basketball player's leg. Also available in 4.5×9.5 cm for the finger.
